EXPENDITURE REDUCED. REVENUE FALL SMALLER (Per Press Association.► CHRISTCHURCH, Al ay 16. A decrease of £92,000 in railway ex* pendituro for the month of April was disclosed by the General Alanager of the New Zealand Railways in an interview last evening Air IL H. Sterling said that the mpytt pleasing feature of this decrease win that much of it was likely to be permanent. He also indicated that the falling off in revenue for the sanje period was substantially smaller fb»4i that for the previous two months.
