Mr C. G. Dunbar, on his small dairy farm at Harleyville, continues to get most pleasing returns from his Frie■d 1.-rd of 17 cows, of which three are heifers and one is a second calver. During November the herd averaged a daily production of 431 b milk, the tests being 3.8 per cent, 3.9 per cent, and 3.9 per vent. During December the daily milk average was 401 b, with tests 3.9 per cent. 4 per cent, and 4 per cent. The November average yield for butter-fat per cow was 491 b, and for Decern’/>r over 491 b per cow—returns that show the high value of the Friesian cow on small farms.
