ROBBERY AT STORE

SECOND CASE IN WEEK THIEF AT FORESTRY 7 CAMP ROTORUA, May 10. The store at forestry camp at Wairapukau, on the Kaingaroa Plains, was broken into some time on Thursday night and a sum of £34 was taken. This consisted of £9 15s belonging to the storekeeper and various sums of money in envelopes which were to have been forwarded to relatives of On Thursday evening the store, which is also used by the timekeeper, was secured by padlock and the cupboard inside was locked. When the timekeeper arrived yesterday morning he found thot both locks had been broken. The camp is about 48 miles from Rotorua and not far from Murupara, where £2OOO was stolen early in the week.
