POLAR SUBMARINE

IN TOUCH BY RADIO. A. W. A. COM Al UNI CATES. SYDNEY, April 28. Short wave radio communication was established to-day by Amalgamated Wireless from Sydney'with Sir Hubert Wilkins’ submarine “Nautilus” in New Y'ork harbour. The “Nautilus” is being equipped for an attempt to reach the North Pole by travelling under the ice. A number of messages were exchanged between A.W.A. and Sir Hubert Wilkins, who asked that greetings by conveyed to his friends in Australia and New Zealand, also that the press of both countries be informed that he is in communication and that, messages far him and his may be lodged at the A.W.A. traffic, offices, or at : y post office in the Commonwealth or IDominion.
