The Australian representative to th* Chamber of Commerce Congress (Air Watts) interviewed to-day, said that after delivering a message of Australian goodwill to the Congress, he was appointed a member of the resolutions .committee and invited to attend all the meetings of the Br’tish delegation In a general outline of the proceed ings, Mr Watt said that the conference bad affirmed the i alac of fbe service of future markets in the organised distribution of certain agricultural and other products. It had also affirmed that the function performed bv th* risk bearers is essentia! to the effective functioning of the market in st ahl ising prices and avoiding zioient fluctuations, to the benefit of both th* producer ami the consumer. The Congress likewise dcv'ccatcd all forms of outside nn«l governmental interference with future trading.
