DEEP SNOW IN EDINBURGH GALLANT RESCUE BY BOYS [By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright.] Received March 9, 7.20 p.m. LONDON, March 9. Snow-laden winds swept Britain during the week-end, a 50-mile an hour gale causing damage along the coasts. Edinburgh is deep under snow, and people arc ski-ing in the streets. Deer driven down from the Highlands in search of food have become tame. At a funeral at St. Ronin ess in the Orkneys, the cuffin was drawn on a sledge and the mourners were kneedeep in the snow. Two youths in a motor boat gallantly rescued the •'•ew of .17 of a vessel caught in the teeth of the blizzard.
