ADVICE FROM AGENTS The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company Limited report having received the following cable from their London office under date December 13: “As compared with last sales closing rates prices are lowefi by about 10 per cent for medium Merino, scoured crossbred and fine greasy crossbred, 15 per cent, lower for scoured, inferior, Merino, medium greasy crossbred and course greasy crossbred about 5 per cent- lower for greasy super Merino about 5 to 7$ per cent lower for slipe crossbred and scoured Merino super also about 74 per cent to 10 per cent- lower for lambs, Merino and crossbred and 10 to 15 per cent lower for greasy Merino inferior. The sales closed with a fairly firm tone to-day. Merino average 8d to 94d. 56/58s 9d to 10ld, 50/56s 8d to 94d, 48/50s 71d to 84d, 46/48s 6Jd to 7£d, 44/46 s 64d to 74d. 40/44s 6Jd to 7}d, 36/40s 6d to 7d.” Wright, Stephenson and Co. Ltd. are in receipt of the following cable from their London office: “London wool sales closed. Average attendance buyers. Market unchanged. Competition animated- Greasy Merino 9d, greasy fine half bred 56/58 9d, greasy half bred 50/ 5(5 B|d, greasy threc-quarterbred 48/50 74d, greasy fine crossbred 46/48 6fd. greasy medium crossbred 44/46 6sd, greasy crossbred 40/44 6d greasy coarse crossbred 36/40 53d.” Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co. Ltd arc in receipt of the following wool market cablegram giving prices at the current London sales: New Zealand Merino 60/64’s yielding 48 per cent 81d, halfbred 56’s 60 per cent Bid, sup. fn. crossbred 65 per cent 7fd; medium crossbred 44/46’s preparing yielding 74 per cent- 7d; medium crossbred 44/46’s carding yielding 72 per cent--64d; coarse crossbred 40/44’s yielding 73 per cent 6{d, low crossbred 36/40’s 75 per cent, none.
