WEATHER FORECAST
General situation.—A slight depression is crossing southern Now Zealand. while a fairly intense anti-cyclone is advancing from Australia on to the western Tasman Sea.
Forecast.—Winds: Moderate to strong northerly winds, backing to southerlies during the next 24 hours. Seas (N.Z. waters): Moderate generally, but rising on the we st coast and about Cook and Foveaux Straits. Tasma i Sea: Frosh n ortherly winds backing shortly to southerlies in the eastern Tasman with moderate to rather rough seas. Weather: Cloudy in districts with westerly aspects, with
showers developing, elsewhere fair to fine, but some showers later, with a southerly change. Temperatures mild at first but becoming colder to-day.
