CHILDREN’S CONCERT

On Tuesday evening last, a “kiddies” concert was given at Air and Mrs F. C- Atkinson’s, Wanganui East, by their daughters •nd Patricia and Pat Nevin. A delightful programme of 28 items—all the work of the children —was given and some charming ensembles were “staged” by the party. The programme included vocal and pianoforte ducts, choruses recitations, solos and humorous interludes and everything went with a swing. Through the generosity of the audience the children were enabled to hand the sum of 27s Gd to Mrs F. Dexter to assist her in her efforts towards the Christmas Cheer Fund. Amongst those present were Mr and Airs W. Gordon, Airs J. Gilbertson and family, Air and Airs Ralph and family, Alesdames Gcrrie, Henry, G. P. Williamson, T. Bamber, Mewburn, Watson, Frost, Cass, L. Gordon, Afisscs Gerrie, Barton, Fitzgerald, Hutchens. Skuse, McDonald, and Masters Nevin (2), Fitzgerald, Gilbertson and Atkin.-'ui.
