MOTOR-CARS TAKEN WELLINGTON, Doc- 3. S • ’ ]( ” John Preston and James L. J. Tait, both aged 20, were arranged to-day on thirteen charges of car conversion between September 29 and November 25. The cars were taken from parking places in the city and driven to various bays about the city. Two of them were damaged- It was stated by the police that they were living a fairly fast life unknown to their parents. They wore each fined £2O and placed on probation for two years and ordered each to pay half of tho»damage £8 10s each, all payments to be at the rate of 10s a week.
