HOLDS SUCCESSFUL SHOP DAY

The Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held a “shop” day yesterday with most gratifying results. Mrs J. C. Wickham (president) and the committee wish to thank all those who so kindly helped to make the “shop” day a success.

The ladies in charge of the stalls were:—Competitions, Mrs J. C. Wickham; sweets and flowers, Mesdames E. McDonald, Cross, R. Lilburn, Smith, D. Bly th, Misses A. Smith and Bly th; produce, Mcsdames J. Blyth, Preston, Miss Fraser; meat, Mrs Gibson, Misses Polson and Jordon; work, Mesdames Cave, Smith, Mullins and Cork; cakes, Mesdames Soundy, Scott and McDongal. The winner of the large Christmas cake made and donated by Mrs Wickham was Mrs Slater; cako No. 2 by Mrs Harris; cake No. 3, Miss J. Currie; doulton vase, Mrs Tosswill; linen breakfast set, Mrs Draffin.
