EDUCATION MINISTER’S VISIT
The chairman of the Bulls School Committee (Mr J. Campion) has been advised by the secretary of the Wanganui Education Board that the Hon. W. Atmore, Minister of Education, will pay a visit to Bulls on Friday afternoon, and members of• the School Committee and parents are invited to meet the Minister at the school at 2.15 p.m. The Hon. Atmore will address the gathering briefly, and the visitors will be suitably entertained.
BULLS BRIDGE
Members of the Highways Board, the I’angitikei County Council, the Manawatu County Council and the Bulls Town Board met here yesterday, ami it- is exported that an announcement will be made shortly regarding the location of the new bridge across the Rangitikei. and the prospects of an early start being made in erection of the structure. The present bridge is in a bad state of repair, and the increasing motor traffic has rendered it out of
CARNIVAL WEEK
Another meeting of those interested in Carnival Week in Bulls will be held on Friday evening, when definite information will he available, ami it ’ s expected that, a good number will at-
tend to offer suggestions and to assist those who have made a start in an effort to brighten-up the township, and to provide entertainment for the little ones at Christmas.
