The Westmoreland was to leave Auckland yesterday morning for Wellington to continue discharge of her New York cargo, and is due there on Sunday morning. AORANGI AT HONOLULU. The Union Company's motor-Uner Aorangi, en route from Vancouver, was due at Honolulu yesterday, and proceeds thence to Suva, Auckland, and Sydney. She is due at Auckland on November 30. PORT NICHOLSON’S MOVEMENTS The C. and D. Line steamer Port Nicholson will not now load at Napier. She is now to leave Wellington on Sunday morning for Gisborne, Tokomaru Bay. and Auckland. to 'fill up, and is scheduled to clear Auckland finally on December 4 for London, via the I’anama Canal. MAHENO LEAVES MELBOURNE. The Union Company has received cabled iiewa that the Maheno left Melbourne on Thursday for Bluff, Dunedin, Lyttelton, and Wellington. She is due at Bluff on Monday morning, at Wellington on November 28, and will leave there again the following day for Melbourne via Bluff. REMUERA REPORTS. The New Zealand Shipping Company has received a wireless message from their liner Remuera, en route from London and Southampton. to Wellington, reporting that she expects to arrive in the stream at 6 p.m. on November 30. The Remuera has passengers, and cargo for Wellington, and will late, proceed to Auckland to complete discharge of her London cargo. NEW UNION STEAMER.

The Kini, which was being built for the Lamb Company when they were bought out by the Union Company last March, was launched on November 6 by John Lewis and Go., Aberdeen. She is expected to leave Great Britain early in December for Wellington, via the Panama Canal. The Kini has a deadweight carrying capacity of about 1800 tons and has been specially designed for the

carriage of long timber poles on a light draught, and will probably be engaged in the inter-colonial timber trade. She has two big hatches with her engines amidships and will have a sea speed of 8 knots.

PORT ALMA WINS “WOOL DERBY” The Coniinonwoalt.il and Dominion motor freighter i'ort Alma, carrying the first shipment of new season’s wool from Sydney, made the direct passage t Dunkirk in record time. She clipped nearly seven hours off the time for a similar journey last year, when she se-

cured victory in the annual “xvool Derby.” The Port Alma left Sydney at 4.15 p.m. on September 23 and reached the roadstead at Dunkirk at midnight on October 25, her time, without taking time differences into account, being 32 days 7 hours 45 minutes, as against 32 days 15 hours 11 minutes on the same journey last year. She made only one stop en route—at Aden, to refuel.
