The sect holds services for Bible read ings in which rnt- members burst i:.t<i fits ot laughter at every verse, justify '.ig their conduct by quoting Bible t-'»s«-l-ing.
The defendants were sentecm! to a f'*w days’ imp-i< inment, when they fell down on their knees and prayed that the gift of laughtei might be bestowed upon their judged. They were then led to the cells still convulsed with merri ment.
