THE WAGE REDUCTIONS. COMPANIES’ PROPOSALS. LONDON, Nov. 17. The railway companies propose, in addition to the cuts previously reported, that workshop pieceworkers should bo reduced by 6s fid and time workers by 4s fid weekly. It is estimated that the total reductions would save £11,000,000, roughly ton per cent, of the wage bill.
