SUCCESSFUL SHOP DAY.
The Ladies’ Guild of Christ Church held a very successful “shop day” yesterday. A number of most useful articles, such as baby's woollies, clothes, toys, plain and fancy work, crockery, as well as beautiful flowers, cakes, sweets, produce, etc., were on sale. The stalls and stallholders in the Meat Company’s shop were:—Jumble stall: Mrs Creed Meredith, Mrs J. Allen, Mrs T. Hine, Mrs F. P. Taiboys, and Mrs Melton; Crockery and Oddment stall: Mcsdames Moosman and Tutty; sweet stall: Miss M. Harrison, Mrs J. C. Richardson, Mrs Frankish, Mrs S. Burnett and Nliss U. Hine. The flower stall, at the corner of Maria Place, was in charge of Mrs Ashcroft, Miss 0. Williams and Miss D. Moore. In the second shop, near the cornef of Maria Place, the stalls and stallholders were: Produce: Mrs A. H. E. Wall, Mrs Nor man Bain, Mrs J. B. Davis, Mrs R. W. Orton; Plain and Fancy work stall: Mrs H. F. Christie, Mrs J. Blyth and Mrs O. Lewis.
