When five Cabinet Ministers speak in the one p’?ce and in the one evening it would be strange if something in favour of the Government were not heard. The United Ministers who spoke at I’a'iLcrstou certainly did not criticise thews elves. Nevertheless, it. must be acknowledged that they di 1 not o vet du the praise. Though the meeting which they addressed was one of friends, there was no provocative party note in the speeches. Indeed, there war little said which was out of harmony with the Acting-Prime |Minister s claim that “the times were too sc. jout to think along party lines.'* Mr Itan.-ou s own reference to tax'Zg wealthy squatters and to the last two by-election victories might have bean
