MR THEODORE'S POSITION. QUESTION IN THE HOUSE. Received Nov. 13, 11.5 p.m. CANBERRA, Nov. 13. The Speaker, Air N. J. O. Makin, in the House of Representatives, ruled out order a motion by Air Latham (Leader of the Opposition) for the suspension of Air E. G. Theodore. Later Air Latham asked: “Is the acting-Prime Alinister prepared to take action to amend the standing orders to enable the House to protect its honour and dignity in the case of members being found guilty of fraud, dishonesty and corruption?” The acting-Prime Alinister (Air J. A. Fenton) declined to answer the question couched in such terms.
