ATTACK ON PRESIDENT? PERSONAL GUARD FIRED ON MEN RETURNING FROM DUTY
[By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright] Received Nov. 13, 9.10 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 13. The report of an attempt to assassinate Mr W. T. Cosgrave (President ol tho Irish Free State) while motoring homeward on the outskirts of Dublin, is denied. It is explained that the shots were fired at a car containing soldiers com prising Mr Cosgravc’s personal guard while they were returning from duty at his residence. None were hit.
