MISS MERCEDES GLEITZE. Received Nov .9, 8.40 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 8. Miss Mercedes Gleitze, before sailing for New Zealand, said she wanted to be the first to swim Cook Strait. When she returns she will attempt the swim from Galway to Arran Island.
