TOOTHBRUSH IN A FISH

A codfish with a toothbrush in its stomach was lately taken into Boston, United States, in the catch of the trawler Wild Goose. The brush was inscribed with the name of William Whalen, of Long Bay, Placentia, Newfoundland. Mr Whalen was one of 20 men lost when the steam trawler Seiner foundered in a storm in January, 1929, off George’s Banks. None of the bodies was recovered.
