TENDER FOR TIME SWITCHES [ Per Tress Association. ] GISBORNE, Nov. L The Power Board rejected a proposal that its trading department bo closed down, the majority holding that thn department had done much to promote the use of electricity. The Board had before it two tenders for time switches, one being a Swiss tender at £262 10s, and the other a British tender at £298. The chairman moved that the lowest tender be accepted, but the majority hold that the British firms should bt given preference and the highest tender was accepted.
