WEATHER FORECAST
General situation.—A slight, anti-cyclone crossed the northern portion of the Dominion yesterday, while a depression of the westerly type was moving on to the southern portion. Conditions are still rather disturbed near Norfolk Island. Forecast. —Winds: Southerly at first from Auckland northwards, but otherwise winds veering to w est and north and freshening gradually. Seas (N.Z. waters): M oderate generally, but rising south of Cape Egmont and about Foveaux Strait. Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong west to north winds, and smooth to moderate but rising seas in the eastern Tasman. Weather: For the most part fair, but some showers in western districts and about Foveaux Strait. Temperatures mild.
