Speedway Spencer Stratton broke the world’s record for a quarter-milc, his time being 17 3-sscc. He won the semi-final in the Ashfield Cup Handicap, of four laps, in 1.16 2-5, which is a record. He then won the final of the same vent in .1.18 4-5. He competed in the Gold Star scratch race, of three laps, and finished second to Tommy Bcnstcad, whose time was 52 1-S.SCCS, which is the world’s record.
