WANGANUI SALE Freeman R. Jach »n and Co. report as follows on the Wanganui sale held yesterday:—The yarding was only a medium one, except the pig section, which came forward in large numbers, over 150 being yarded. This is the heaviest yarding of pigs we have had this spring, and had vendors notified us of their entries we would have been able to advertise. The result was few buyers, and although vendors met the market, prices were considerably below last week 's rates, weaners being approximately 7s lower. Porkers were also in good supply and eased slightly on recent sales. Sheep and cattle were only of medium quality and sold at late rates. Quotations: — Sheep. —Fat two-tooth wethers, 24s 25s 2d to 265; fat hoggets, 23s 9d; fat ewes, 17s to 20s; M.S. hoggets, 18s 2d; b.f. hoggets, 15s to 16s. Cattle.—Fat cows, £9 5s to £9 15s; good forward cows, £5, £5 2s 6d, £6 to £6 Igs; good store cows, £4 10s' to £4 15s; store cows, £2 ss, £3 to £3 6s; yearling Jersey cross heifers, £4 to £5 2s 6d; small yearling Jersey cross heifers, £2 ss, £2 12s 6d. £3 to £3 ss; yearling S.H. heifers, £3 6s; poor conditioned springing heifers, £5 15s to £7 15s.

I Pigs.—Porkers, £2 ss, £2 Ils, £2 13s, £2 14s to £3; forward stores, 28s, 30s to 33s 6d; good weaners, 20s, 21s, 22s to 23s 6d; weaners, 15s, 16s, 17s, 18s to 19s.

The New Zealand Farmers’ Co.-op* Distributing Co. Ltd., re)|rt on above sale held yesterday (Tuesday) as follows: We had a yarding of 2300 sheep comprising chiefly hoggets. Buyers were present from Taranaki, Wanganui, Hunterville and Feilding, but competition was not so keen as at recexif sales, and several lots of good hoggets were passed. Following are the prices realised: Good ewe hoggets 22b 6d to 29s 6d; medium ewe hoggets 18s Id; small ewe hoggets 16s Id; good wether hoggets 18s 8d to 19s 7d; medium wether hoggets 13s; b*f. hoggets 15s 6d to 15s 9d; aged ewes with SJD. lambs at foot 25s 7d; light fat ewes 16s; fat b.f. hoggets 22s 6d; forward empty ewes 12s 6d to 13s; springing Jersey hc’Vers £10; fat heifers £9; weaner pigs 27s 6d to 28s 6d Dalgety and Co. Ltd., report having a small yarding of stock at their Marton sale on Tuesday. Quotations: — Ewe hoggets, 265; backward dairy heifers, £4 to £5 7s 6d; dairy heifers, £8 15s; weaner pigs, 28s 6d, 30s 6d, store pigs, 365.
