A young man, Lancelot Saidler, was shot dead in an Elizabeth Street wine bar on Saturday afternoon. It ’’is alleged that he demanded money from the proprietor, who refused. Saidler then threat med him with a razor. In the resultant confusion a fatal srot was fired. It is stated that he had a ba record and was vaulting the wine-bar counter when the proprietor, E. A. Good, fired a revolver, as he told de ctives, in self-defence. Good has been arrested and charged with manslaughter.
