ECHO OF BRUCE-PAGE DEFEAT A MEMBER RESIGNS Received Sept. 14, 6.40 p.m. SYDNEY, Sept. 14. Mr Walter Marks, W’ho by voting with Mr Hughes, helped to defeat the Bruce-Page Government has now resigned his membership of the Australian Party which he assisted Mr Hughes to establish.

Mr Marks says ho disagrees with some points in the phamphlet which Mr Hughes has just published, notably the bitter personal attack on Sir Otto Neimeyer and also references to Britain and the Bank of England. Though he (Mr Hughes) and other members had just attended a conference the leader never said a word about his intention to publish a booklet.
