BARRISTER CHARGED

ALLEGED FAILURE TO ACCOUNT. I Per Presa Axsociatioa ’ GISBORNE, Aug. 15. Before Mr P. H. Harper, S.M., to-day, Robert George Gardiner Bain, 26 years of age, a barrister and solicitor, appeared on a charge of receiving from H. Dalrymple a sum of £5 on terms requiring him to account for and pay it to Mrs Johnson and that he fraudulently omitted to do so. Detective McLeod, in applying for a remand until Monday, said a number of other charges would -be preferred against the accused who had intimated, through his counsel, his intention of pleading guilty. Accused was remanded till Monday, bail in £lOO and one surety of £lOO being allowed.
