General situation.—The northern cyclone passed the northern extremity of the Dominion last night; another cyclone is likely to develop in the south-west Tasman Sea. Forecast.—Winds: South-east still strpng to gale force from Cook Strait northwards, but decreasing gradually; elsewhere moderate. Seas (N.Z. watcis): Rough north of Farewell Spit and Kaikoura, elsewhere moderate. Tasman Sen: Moderate to fresh south-east to north-east winds in the eastern Tasman, with moderate to rather rough seas. Weather: Stil change, able with passing showers on the east coast and parts of the Cook Strait region; heavy at times in the East Cape and Gisborne districts, mainly fine in western districts and improving generally to morrow.
