PUKEROA.

Mrfs S. Brookes, ui Oete, Pahiatua, accompanied by her two children, is at present staying with her parents, Mr and Mrs H. Rawson. Mr F. W. Lock is at present confined to his bed suffering from influenza. Mr R. Rawson, junr., has left the district, having purchased a farm near Waverley. Pukeroa Sports Association has no president, Mr R. E. Shaw having resigned from that position in March last. A white mantle of snow was seen on the hills on Sunday. Metalling operations are at present being carried out on the road between Otairi and Pukeroa.
