AUCKLAND SESSIONS ( Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, June 24. Harold Henry James Hills, aged 38, was granted. 12 months’ probation by Mr Justice? Smith for forgery. May June Sutherland, aged 21, was ordered to come up for sentence within six months if called on. The Crown Solicitor said that the man encouraged her to receive and sign an acknowledgement for moneys which should have been paid to his wife as maintenance. The girl had been entirely under his influence. The Judge said that although circumstances were unusual, the Court regarded tlie acts of accused as an offence.
