The annual conference of tho Royal Agricultural Society of New Zealand will be opened in Wellington to-mor-row afternoon by his Excellency, the Governor-General, Lord Bledisloe. There is some important business io discuss in relation to the Royal Show, which takes place at Hawke’s Bay in October.

At the night session an address is to be given by Air W. D. Hunt on “Unemployment.” There is to be a discussion on tho wool industry, including the report of the wool committee, the reduction of freights, reports from the Massey and Lincoln agricultural colleges and also the proposed establishment r of the Wool Realisation On Thursday an address on noxious weeds will be given by Air A. 11. Cockayne, Assistant Director-General «,f Agriculture, and by Air J. Snell, on “Rural Intermediate Credit and How Farmers Can Take Advantage of It.” The 25 remits cover a wide range of subjects, including reciprocal trade within the Empire, land taxation, levy for wool research and advertising, the provision of a diploma for the science and practice of agriculture and the coordination of agricultural education for young people. *
