The ’plane Jason’ s Quest was brought, after repairs at Insein, to Rangoon racecourse snortly before dusk. Miss Johnson intends making a test flight at 7 o’clock in the morning, after which she will leave for Bangkok before 10. Though sho is still worried by the disappointment of failing in the object of her flight owing to the loss of two days caused by tho mishap, she is now more cheerful. She is also hopeful of successfully completing the rest of the journey.
TESTS SATISFACTORY JOURNEY TO BE CONTINUED Received May 16, 10.30 p.m. RANGOON, M y 16. Miss Amy Johnson made a test flight early this morning, which was very successful. She hovered over the racecourse and rose to 1200 feet. She stated that the repairs were all good and that she will be leaving between nine and ten o’clock m the morning for Bangkok. The weather locally is bright.

Miss Johnson departed for Bangkok at 10.30 a.m. in heavy rain, but the wind wag not strong locally. lhe weather suddenly became worse after nine. NOT MAKING THE TRIP MR HINKLER DENIES STORY LONDON, May 15. Mr Hinkler has stated that there is no foundation for the story that he intends flying to Australia.
