ST. JOHN’S CLLB RESULTS OF FINALS The results of the finals of the St. John’s Lawn Tennis Club’s tournament are as follows: Championship Events Ladies’ singles: Miss M. Myers beat Mrs Smith 6 —3, 7 —5. Men’s singles: M- L. Lampe beat H. Cox 3—o. 6—4, 6—o, 6—3. Ladies’ doubles: Misses T. Cox and M. Myers defeated Mrs Smith and Miss M. Purcell 6 —4, 6—z. Men’s doubles: H. Cox and 1.. Udy defeated M. L. Lampe and J. E. Marshall 6—3. 4—6. 6—3Combined doubles: Miss M. Myers and H. Cox defeated Mrs Smith and M. L. Lampe 6—4. 6—l. Ilsndicap Events Ladies’ singles: Miss M- Purcell beat Miss M. Duncan. Men’s singles: L. Udy beat H. Cox Men’s doubles: H. Cox and H. Gilberd defeated D. Srodart and J. Dempsey 9 —B. The other two handicap events have yet to be finalised. JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP Trophies have kindly been donated for junior grade championship singles and the committee have decided to play these off immediately.
