NEW ZEALAND LOAN
WONDERFUL RESPONSE. THOUSANDS OF APPLICANTS. [ Per Press Association. ] AUCKLAND, May 8. In a statement telephoned from Rotorua, tho Premier states that he has received a cable message from the High Commissioner, reading: “The total applications for the London loan were 21,852, aggregating £19,577,800. Stock allotments have been made as follows: (1) Applicants for £lOO received nil; (2) £2OO up to £5OO received £100; and (3) over £5OO received just under 30 per cent. Dealings commenced on the Stock Exchange this morning (May 7), opening at about £9B 17s 6d to £99, and closing in the afternoon at about £99.”
