SCULPTURE ROMANCE
ADAM AND EVE STATUE. The life-sized sculpture of Adam and Eve which is being presented to the Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool, has been hidden for years in a Chelsea studio. Mr Arthur Walker, A.R.A., stated recently that when he executed tl.r work five years ago he called rt “The' Were Afraid.” No one would buy i* and, until a year ago, it lay neglect<•' in his studio. Then Mr Audley. of Birkdal • Lancs., saw it during a tour of th Chelsea studios, and .-o admired i’ that ho decided to buv it for the Wa' ker Gallery.
