FLEW OVER CUP TIE MATCH. Received April 27, 5.5 p.m. LONDON, April 26. RlOO DAMAGED SCRAPED AGAINST SHED [ British Official Wireless ] RUGBY, April 24. Airship RlOO was transferred from its shed to the mooring tower at Cardington this afternoon. The conditions were good when the handling party started to move the airship, but before she was wholly clear of the shed a cross wind sprang up which caused the outside edge of the starboard elevator to scrape against the side of the shed. An examination showed that the damage was slight but the airship will be housed again in order to carry out repairs as soon as possible.? There is no reason to think that plans for the flight to Canada next month will be interfered with. CO-OPERATION URGED !DR. ECKENER’S DESIRE LONDON, April 24. Dr. Eckener, commander of the Graf Zeppelin, had a long talk with the Duke of York at York House this afternoon.
In the evening Dr. Eckener wirelessly broadcast an appeal for international co-opcration in airship travel. He said he was convinced that in the near future there would be airships flying regularly over every ocean. The nations ought to combine in providing landing, fuelling and picking up places. His high regard for the English made him most anxious for British co-opera-tion in the establishment of an international airship service.
