SANDON OBITUARY The death of Mrs Oppatt (senior), which occurred at the residence of her son at Sanson on Monday morning served a link of the early days of pioneering in the Halcombe district. The deceased was 87 years of age, and has been wonderfully active up to the last and her passing away was not expected to happen so suddenly. Mr Oppatt, senior, died a few years ago and there is left to mourn the loss of a fond mother, one daughter (Mrs L. Pearce) of Feilding and one son (Mr H. Oppatt) of Sanson.
