SENTENCED TO A MONTH. [ Per Press Association ] WELLINGTON, April 4. Tn Auckland in April last Bernard \ ietor Cottier, musician, was fined £2 for having been found unlawfully 0,1 premises, and in Pahiatua in February this year he was fined £5 for a similar offence. To-day he pleaded guilty to having been found without lawful excuse in a closed yard in Newtown. The police stated that he was seen looking under the blind of a lighted room in Daniell Street, and also behaving in the same manner in a house in Constable Street. He then went to a third house and disappeared round the back. He was noticed by a youth, who with his companion.-; took him to the police station. Accused said that he had had a few drinks. He was sentenced to a month’s gaoi.
