CONSTANTINOPLE TAXIMEN. TOO MANY MOTOR ACCIDENTS. Received Dec. 9, 10 p.m. CONSTANTINOPLE, Dec. 9. A prominent Turkish alienist ’s state ment that the majority of Constantinople taxi drivers are insane and are drug addicts, is causing a furious denial by the Chauffeurs’ Union, but is applauded by citizens who have been Objected to an alarmingly increasing number of motor accidents. The Municipality also sides with the alienists an I is ordering a periodic examination of chauffeu! s, and promises to send to an asylum those found to be unbal meed.
