There was a serious riot in the Moulin Rouge cinema theatre to-night when the audience objected to the use of English in a talkie. They made a mass attack on the box office and demanded the return of their money. The police .arrived and sent the people back to their seats in the hope that the film would be changed. When this was not done the disturbance was renewed, the police eventually clearing the hall. It is stated that the outbreak was fermented by musicians, who have been th rown id 1 e by foreign infringements.
