INCREASED BUSINESS
LOAN AND MERCANTILE CO. Received Dec. 6, 8 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 6. Mr Alfred Shepherd, presiding at the annual meeting of the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Coy., said that the company had handled during the past year 305,681 bales wool of a total value of £6,634,023, compared with 276,438 bales valued at £6,918,829 the previous season. Shipments to London had increased by 10,404 bales, worth £277,344. The credit ■ balance of commission was £697,482, an increase of £19,028. The Bawra payment had been placed to reserve. General administration expenses had increased by £29,081, agencies being created in South Africa, Canada, the United States and Europe.
