GANG OF YOUNG THIEVES. LONG SERIES OF CHARGES. [ Per Frvww Association ] NEW PLYMOUTH, Dec. 3. For a fortnight thc Supreme Court has beeu engaged in hearing a long series of charges against a gang of young thieves, who have been operating in Taranaki. Thc last case of th e scries was heard to-day in a re-trial of William Percival Leonard Knight, who was found guilty on numerous charges of theft from eight postal boxes in New Plymouth and four in Stratford and attempting to break and enter a chemist’s shop at AVaitara. Sentence was deferred.
