General situatiin.—A slight anti-cyclone is moving on to New Zealand. A new depression of cy cl on is form i a now centred in Bass Strait and is moving eastward ra.pidly. Forecast—Winds: Moderate to strong south-westerly, veering soon to west and north-west in and south of Cook Strait. Seas (New Zealand waters): Rough on all the western coast and offshore south of Castle Point. Moderate north of Castle Point. Weather still changeable and rather unsettled, with further showers, more especially in districts with a westerly aspect; improving temporarily in eastern and northern districts.
