MOTORIST OFFENDERS
BREACHES OF REGULATIONS Police cases as follow, were dealt with at the Court yesterday:— For driving without’ tan iignrs, J. Howie, G. W King and S. A. Nicos were fined £l, with costs. For cutting corners, H. X Halkctt, L. L. Neilson R. W. Orton, A. M. Pbrcival and J. E. Whenuaroa were fined £l, with costs
For cycling on a footpath Frederick Potter was fined ss, with costs. Potter stated that it was the first time he had ever been in Court. S.M.: It is not a very serious charge. If you never appear here on a worse charge it wit! be all right William B. Hay was charged with driving at a speed whicn might be dangerous to the public. It was stated that he was trying a car out in St. Hil! Street. A fine of £2 with costs 19s and witness 7s 6d, was inflicted. W. H. Smith Pilling, for failing to notify the sale of a motor-cycle, was fined £1 with costs Inspector’s Cases Wm. Bottell was charged with failing to give way to a motor approaching from the right, and driving at a speed which might be dangerous to the public in Ingestre Street. A fine or £l, with costs 10s, was imposed on each charge. On the information of Inspector Fear, W. Corlctt, for driving at a speed which might be dangerous to the public, was fined £2 and costs on the first charge and £l, with costs, on the second. Mary Harvey who drove without a license, was fined £1 with costs. Mrs Al. G. Hili, on a similar charge, was lined £l, with costs.
