In the House of Lords there was a large attendance of Peers as well as Lady Baden Powell and a number of Boy Scouts, Girl Guides and officers in the galleries who ■witnessed Baron Baden Powell being sworn in with the customary picturesque ceremonial. His chief sponsors were Lord Hampton and Lord Glentaner, both Boy Scout Commissioners.
