THE LICENSING SYSTEM BRUCE MEASURE ABOLISHED [ Australian Press Assn. ] SYDNEY, Oct. 30. During the progress of the last watersiders’ strike, the Bruce Government instituted a system of licensing maritime workers, which enabled the shipping companies to weed out those they considered undesirables. The Scullin Government now has sanctioned the abolition of th’e licensing system, under which a large number of volunteer workers maintained their jobs on the waterfront.
