ALLEGED ATTACK
A MAN WOUNDED [ Per Press Association ] CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 30. Alleging that he had been attacked by his wife ■a;ith a razor, G. E. St George’, aged 40, a postal official living at 25 Melrose Street, city, was admitted to the hospital early this morning suffering from fairly severe wounds in the face, neck and arms. Subsequently Mrs St. George was also taken to hospital suffering from similar wounds. Both are progressing. A neighbour, who was aroused by knocking at 1.30 a.m., foap 4 St. George ; on the doorstep clad n pyjamas witk blood streaming from hi« wounds on hii face, neck and arms. He asked tha! the police be sent for, alleging that hit wife had attacked him with a ra zor after a domestic quarrel. The neighbour then investigated and found Mrs St. George also suffering from minor wounds. The police were sent, for and the couple were sent to hospital. The woman was only discharged from hospital on Sunday morning after treatment for an illness. Therfc is one child a boy of six. Neighbours state that the relations between . the two hav* been strained for some time.
