STRUCK BY A TRAIN
MAN LOSES A LEG [ Per Press Association. ] GREYMOUTH, Sept. 30. While in the Dunollie railway cutting on Saturday night, Robert Scott, of Runanga, employed as an enginedriver at James mine, was overtaken by a train running to town, and the wheels passed over his right leg, practically severing it, and on his r moval to hospital it was amputated. Satisfactory progress is reported this morning.
