LONDON WOOL SALES
REPORTS BY AGENTS Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following wool market cablegram from their London agents dated September 27: “Merino greasy—improved competition; all sections operating. Crossbred greasy fine and coarse declined 5 per cent; medium declined 74 per cent.; crossbred scoured declined 5 per cent.’’ Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., Ltd., are in receipt of the following market cablegram from their London agents, dated Sept. 27: “Merino greasy, improved competition; all sections operating. Crossbred greasy fine and coarse, declined 5 per cent. Medium declined per cent. Crossbred scoured, declined 5 per cent.” LATEST ADVICE [ Australian Press Assn.’j Received Sept. 28, 5 p.m LONDON, Sept. 27. At the wool sales 10,606 bales were offered, of which 6,034 were from New Zealand. There was a moderate-sized representative selection of greasy merinos and an excellent selection of greasy crossbred. Fair general competition resulted but withdrawals were rather frequent. Sales: New Zealand greasy crossbreds. “Omee” 144; “Dokunu 13Jd to 12d. Messrs Wright Stephenson and Co. advise: “Bradford report on wool sale as follows: ‘Merinos Id to down. Fine and medium crossbred down, coarse crossbreds a shade weaker. The London sales have weakened the situation. Users of tops are keeping out of the market as much as possible. ’ ’
